Out-of-Hours Services

If you need assistance when we are closed (6pm to 8am Monday to Thursday, and 6pm Friday until 8am Monday) please phone NHS24 on 111 (freephone).

The staff at NHS24 will ask you for information about your health and condition and will advise on the most appropriate course of action.  This may include offering advice only or advising you to attend an out-of-hours centre or to a community pharmacy when available.

If after assessing your needs, and based on the information that you have given them, they will pass your case to Highland Hub.

The Hub will contact you to arrange for you to attend the most appropriate location based on your needs, which could be MacKinnon Memorial Hospital in Broadford, the Urgent Care Centre at Portree Hospital or in some cases provide a home visit.

In an emergency always phone 999 and ask for the ambulance service.

Any chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
